Fire retardant stain according to EU legislation
Ankoline FR (Fire Retardant) Hydrostain is a new innovation from Anker Stuy Coatings and relates to the fire safety of wood in buildings, focusing on EU legislation that came into force in August 2024. This applies to facades as well as interior wood materials.
- Complies with new EU legislation NEN-EN 13501-1
- Standard class D remains D, upgrading from E to D possible

What makes Ankoline unique?
There are similar products available on the market but not like Ankoline FR. There are frothing and salt impregnating variants but Ankoline FR is the only non-film forming fire retardant stain.

Ankoline FR is available in both translucent and opaque varieties, making it suitable for a variety of applications. For interior panels and wood interior applications, it also offers a translucent or opaque finish, without thick coats that can give an orange effect.
