Aplex Aqua: the first biobased industrial paint
Anker Stuy Coatings was the first paint manufacturer in the Netherlands to succeed in supplying a product line for the wood-processing industry in which the content consists of 50% bio-based material, in accordance with NEN-EN 1664 (C14 method).

Composition
The ‘green’ secret of Aplex Aqua is largely in the binder, which consists of a mix of plant-based raw materials. The water-based alkyd emulsion made from it is emulsified in water with a minimum of hydrophilic components. This creates a water-based product with very low water absorption and very good water repellency.

For more than three generations, we passionately make paint special. Our story goes back to 189 8 and since then we have been producing and developing from the Frisian town of Terwispel more than three million liters of paint per year.
