Speed is undeniably the biggest advantage of having your own paint mixing system. You can mix colors yourself from as little as half a liter of paint, so you no longer have to wait a day even for a small job. At the same time, you waste less paint because you can produce in smaller sizes. In practice, it happens that customers have leftover material from colors they no longer need for their projects. For example, a little too much has been ordered. Some products can still be mixed together as a pre-paint, but this is not always true.

Mixing systems and color pastes

Anker Stuy’s water-based mixing system can be used both for a joinery producing window frames and for a furniture builder. Depending on the product, we generally supply two base paints: a base TR for dark colors and base P for light and white colors. Also, the work planner and colorist can accurately calculate how much material they need for a project so there is no leftover material. This gives less waste and therefore better for the environment.

The pastes are filled into cannisters of a paint mixing system. These are available from various suppliers such as Corob or Fast & Fluid. The cannisters are controlled by software in which a database is built up of different color ranges. Anker Stuy now has a database of more than 25,000 colors from various popular color fans from Europe. This makes creating a color to repair one door or window frame a piece of cake.

Even for manual coloring via repellent recipes, there are plenty of options for working with Anker Stuy color pastes. This applies to both water-based and solvent-based systems.

Now should a color not be present in the database, our color lab provides support five days a week and we can match and upload a color to the database within 24 hours.

In addition, did you know that we produce our own color pigment pastes? Other paint manufacturers buy these elsewhere but we want to be 100% sure what we put in our products. We only use color pigments of extremely high quality, comparable to those used in the automotive industry. As a result, gloss and color retention is guaranteed and demonstrably tested.
