Waterborne Alkyd Emulsion
The binding agent of Aplex Aqua is a water-based alkyd emulsion. The great advantage of this is of course the high bio-based content, but also the extremely low water absorption in wood. In addition, Alkyd emulsion binders are extremely elastic and highly resistant to UV influences. The transparent finishes are also characterised by a very clear paint film which gives a beautiful end result on a wood grain and therefore let the wood live.
